Family and friends

I'm just writing a quick post tonight as it's been a busy day and I've no quilting to share :-(
It was a rather special day today as I got to spend time with all of my kiddies, big and small, including the adults :-)
Two small children came and visited this morning while ED went to a working bee.
She commented that a working bee is so much easier when these two aren't around.
I needed a working bee at my house once they'd gone.....!
By then it was lunch time and lunch at The Country Yard. Thursdays are Stitch and Chat day and the ladies who attend have all become quite good friends. So it was nice to finish off the year with a shared lunch.
Very nice, thank you.
Yahoo, then it was a trip into town to pick up my re-newed computer. It has a new hard drive and Windows has been updated. Not too pricey thank goodness and  - look - I'm using it again :-)

Later in the afternoon, YD and her family had a photo shoot next door with my DIL, who does lovely family photos.
Here's a quick pick I took of the rest of the grandies having a play while the adults were still chatting.
A rare moment - 5 in one photo

Ganma managed to keep the younger ones entertained while photos were being taken.
The photoshoot in action

'til next time,
happy stitches,

  1. so many nice memories of the grands! how many do you have now? I only have two and they never lived close to me so I really treasure the time I have when I do see them which I imagine will be even less now that they are about grown
