I was reassured that it would be OK to fill the odd post (of my
31 day blog writing challenge) with photos of things other than quilty stuff and today is another one of those days!
I had a busy day with work and a visit to ED's then a bit of farm work so I'm pleased I took my camera with me when I fed calves before breakfast this morning.
It was a lovely morning, the light was just right, plus the animals were in the right paddocks for some nice photos.

I'm down to eight calves. I always get grumpy if I'm still feeding calves at
Christmas time - just as well these ones are nearly ready for weaning! |
|
Just behind me, an iconic kiwi round barn |
|
And then in front of me, cows after the morning milking.... |
|
.....and again..... |
|
...and again.... |
|
The neighbour's Jacaranda is looking beautiful. |

Patch of weeds by the old cowshed |
|
Granny Bonnet past it's best by the old cowshed... I took of some seedheads
to spread around back home. |
By then it was time to get on with the rest of my day :-)
'til next time,
happy stitches,
Lovey pics. Your comment about feeding babies still at Christmas made me giggle. The Jacaranda is lovely and your last picture is what we call Columbine.
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing the pretty scenery of the farm!
ReplyDelete❤️
ReplyDeleteI can not imagine you grumpy Raewyn!! Great photos of the animals and the farm, that granny bonnet is a pretty colour.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to see photos of your farming life!
ReplyDeleteFun to see pictures of your farm and the animals.
ReplyDeleteVery cool barn! And I love the photos of the cows out grazing.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard the name Granny Bonnet for Columbine. Fun!
Gorgeous photo's Raewyn. The cows look happy! I spy a Jacaranda tree in the paddock....a splash of purple against the green.
ReplyDeleteThat barn is awesome - and thanks for sharing these photos today. So good to see green and animals - it is dull and drab and khaki-color here now.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks delightful. Love seeing the jacaranda.
ReplyDeleteAnd I also enjoy growing granny bonnets.
The girls look rather contented. My uncle in northern NSW had a round shearing shed. It was rather unusual. Don't jacaranda's add a nice, bright splash of colour to the scenery. We are too cold for them here, so love seeing them if we are out and about at this time of year.
