Day 17 of Block a Day December

I had some secret sewing time this afternoon.
While I was secreting away I was able to make two more blocks leader-ender style.
I just happened to find another small pile of Christmas scraps that just needed to be used up so made another block for my new project 😁

Another week for August (temperature quilt) —
This block was nearly done but I sneaked down while tea was cooking to sew all the units together.

In other news, this morning was the first day since July 13th that I haven't had calves to feed - we weaned the last of them yesterday - yaay!!!Lately it hasn't been taking long to feed them but it still felt quite liberating this morning not having that job to do!

'til next time,
happy stitches,

  1. Your bauble block is nice and colourful. It will be good to have no feeding over Christmas, as it is busy enough already.

  2. Love the Xmas bauble block. You should have some free time now you are not feeding.

  5. The Christmas ornament blocks are going to start piling up. Won't that be fun?
And hopefully your temperature quilt will benefit from your block-a-day. Will you make another temperature quilt next year, do you think?

  7. Your Christmas ornament block is beautiful, well done on making the temp block too.
Yay for the calf feeding being completed, you will have some extra time now, although I am sure there will be lots of other jobs to fill the gap.

  8. You may have finished feeding the calves, but I bet you still have plenty to do feeding the family and baking Christmas goodies.
