We spent yesterday chopping, cooking and slicing so that the only cooking today was too glaze the ham, and simple tasks like assembling salads and whipping cream.
The MOML's parents joined us, so with Mum here as well, we had three great-grandparents in residence.
Not many photos were taken, a group one would have been nice but there was too much playing, too much eating and too much talking to get around to that!
The icing on the cake today was our son-in-law milking tonight - giving the MOML the first milking off on Christmas Day EVER!
Oh and the second layer of icing on the cake was what every farmer dreams of at Christmas; a nice bit of late afternoon rain.
'til next time,
happy stitches,
Raewyn
It sounds like you had the perfect Christmas, especially a day off milking and some rain.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas sounds perfect, family, food and some rain. Enjoy those leftovers!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely family Christmas you all had! And a day off from milking for your hubby, I'm sure he appreciated that.
ReplyDeleteLooks a wonderful Christmas and a day off from milking would have made it even better for your husband.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Raewyn - ours sounds & looks very much like yours. We got the rain too - isn't it just the best gift of all. xx
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely relaxed day and perfect food - I really don't know why we have to put ourselves through the stress of producing a hot roast dinner on Christmas Day, yours sounds much nicer! xx
