My quilting thoughts and inspirations sprinkled with a glimpse of life down on the farm

It was Saturday today!

The only reason I knew it was Saturday today was that the MOML had to go up the road to collect the mail, rather than having it delivered to the box at the gate!
It was another foggy morning —
An over the bridge and turn right walk today.
Today's hill; relatively low but quite steep!
It was clearing nicely and getting quite warm as I made my way back home again —
The hill just left of the trees at the top of the photo is where I was yesterday.

In The Palace today I did a little tracing of the wheels with the big knobbly tyres for Xavier's tractors. To be honest, I'm not looking forward to sewing around these!!
And this evening I made a little more progress on my latest Foxley Village block. That's a quilt hanging beside a quilt shop if you cant work out what the photo is!
Daylight saving ends tonight - I might sneak an extra hour reading when I go to bed tonight!

'til next time,
safe and happy stitches,

  1. i'm catching up on a few posts here...it tugs at your heart when you can't give everyone a hug and a cuddle.
I think I will make one of the things on offer...probably the facebook one Love & hugs - but a block a day???
The tractors will be so much fun - but you are right about those chunky wheels

    Stay safe,

  2. I love seeing your walks! I wish I had more area here to walk safely - too much car/truck travel on the highway we live by and no shoulder to walk safely on so have to stick to the land going in laps around- but better than nothing - so glad I'm not in a small apartment at times like this.

  3. I am enjoying your daily walks and photos, the wheels look great but will be fiddly to sew, but will look amazing when they are done!!

  7. Daylight saving ended last night here too. The weather was looking rather autumnal, with the fog. We've had a couple here, but I'm sure there will be many more to come. I can understand you not looking forward to appliquing the tractor wheels. Do you do it by machine?

  8. I know what you mean about what day it is, they seem to just blend into one another now.🤔
Looks like a lovely walk even in the mist....
Yes the knobbly tractor tyres will be tricky to stitch but will look fab.
Thankfully we don't have daylight saving here. Do you like it ?
