I went dancing today

Yes I did!
While video-calling with ED this morning, Lily took the phone off her mum and took me off for a little dance. She was boogieing to nursery rhymes I think! Very cute :-)
And speaking of cute things, I thought I'd better do a little Easter sewing. This Easter weekend is very different for everyone this year, but I came up with a wee plan to have a bit of fun.
I'd seen some cute bunny bags recently and knew right from the start I wanted to make some. This is the start of one —
It is a simple wee pattern but you do have to read the instructions right!! After a wee hiccup I was all go again. Tonight for Friday Night With Friends (Thank you Cheryll!) I did the faces of two more.
Staged a wee photo shoot —
They're a good size actually, only about 3" square (finished bag size) so not too gluttonish and easy to find scraps the right size to use!

Something else I've seen a bit of lately in the world wide web is the Tilda Easter Bunny. When these bunnies did the rounds last Easter I started a couple for my (non existence) Easter display. Naturally they got shelved. I thought it timely to pull them out tonight for a bit of love.
Thankfully the bag of body parts and the pattern were stored together, in the bag of stuffing. I remembered that last year I had stuffed one of the ears by mistake so after a bit of a difficult time pulling fibre-fill out of a rabbit ear I was back on track again.
Oh that's right, that extra arm is actually an ear.....
Back on track and one more arm stuff and one less ear.
I didn't get much more done after that but as we'll be having some sort of 'Easter' family gathering later than usual this year, I've got time to continue working on them.
You can see more of what the other ladies got up to on Friday Night with Friends *here* on Cheryll's blog.

I was slowed down a little on today's walk —
And then went on a fairly ambitious hill climb. So worth it. I got a bird's eye view of the farm
Our son wondered if I'd been up in a helicopter or something crazy like that!

'til next time,
happy stitches,

  1. I just an so envious of your scenery for your walks! I just love your place and would love to have areas like that to walk in here - it reminds me of our walks in the western areas when we travel. Happy Easter and those bags look so cute

  4. Cute bunny projects--I love bunnies--wished I could have a real one again!!
I have always colored eggs--but not sure If I will this year--though I did find a coloring kit in my decorations--but the only eggs I have are brown ones--but they might color--so I just might get brave and give them a try--(I figure one is never too old to color eggs--though my kids think I am crazy to still color eggs at my age!!!)
