December Day Twenty

It was a kids-kids-kids day today.
As happens in December when school has finished for the year, Ganma got called upon so that two sets of parents could go to work.
And so the cousins got to play together ♥
The two younger ones and I picked the older ones up in the buggy and I took them straight down to the stream.
A gorgeous spot in summer. So cool and peaceful.
Walking to the stream —
Throwing stones into the stream. I got them to all line up to throw as the stones were going in all directions!
Looking for an eel (he and his father caught one here a few months ago) —
We saw sign that wild pigs had been about (digging up the ground) so the boys went looking for them (so brave, and they knew they weren't allowed out of my sight) 🤣—
Pose for Ganma —
Back to the buggy —

Back at the house, they decorated the tree for me. We've had one sitting in a bucket of water for a few days now, finally it is looking a bit more Christmassy —
(It will need sorting out but at least the decorations are out!) Actually it was quite fun decorating with them; they kept on asking the origins of the decorations and it was neat to be able to tell them that their great-great-nana made this one, or great-granny made that, or one of my friends made another and so on.

The older kids went home about lunchtime....the other two still had plenty of energy.
Hide-and-seek in the Plum tree. It's a little early for the plums but they found the odd one to eat —
Wee Tammy was amazing with five children all wanting to pet her and play. She had plenty of places she could hide if she needed to, but kept coming out to play.
'til next time,
happy stitches,
Raewyn

  5. What a gorgeous spot for the kidlets to visit and play around. You are so lucky you don’t have to worry about snakes. I love how gnarly the old plum tree is. You are creating some special Christmas memories for all of them. It sounds like Tammy was enjoying herself as well.
