I've been camping by my letter-box lately. |
We were so excited today when we both had received our gifts and we could open at the same time (live via email at different ends of the world!).
Here is the lovely gift I received from Kallie.
A gorgeous friendship sampler; I'm looking forward to hanging this up. |
Beautiful detail |
A hexagon needle case and a very fancily folded fat quarter. |
She finished it all off with a label on the sampler - which I forgot to do on her gift so will have to send another package across to her! Thanks heaps, Kallie!! |
This is what I made for Kallie.
What is it...? |
Yes; a block holder. |
A touch of kiwi to signify friendship across the miles. |
I also included a couple of little edible goodies which I hoped would bring pleasure :-)
(Oops;acknowledgement; the block design on the front was from Quiltmakers 100 blocks vol.2, by Jina Barney Designz).
And besides camping at the letterbox this week I have been doing a little work on my Temecula Blessings Baskets, another mini.
Coming together nicely - I'm really happy with this. |
So a happy day all round.
Happy stitching every-one,
thank you for visiting:-)

I'd say you were both huge winners in the swap game! Wonderful gifts on both ends.
ReplyDeleteLovely gifts for both swappers Raewyn - love that you and I both made a block keeper for our partners :) I'm also very much in love with your red letterbox - took me back in time -its just like the one I grew up with, although its missing the flag that used to go up to tell the postie we had mail to go!
ReplyDeleteBoth gifts were well worth waiting for. Lucky ladies.
ReplyDeleteoh what beautiful gifts..I love your block holder :0)
ReplyDeleteLooks like both of you had a successful swap. Love the block holder!! Your Temecula Blessings Bastkets is coming along beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with these swap items. How fun to wait for each other.
ReplyDeleteThe gifts are all beautiful Raewyn. Lucky for Kallie that you are so patient and didn't tear into yours, nine days difference is a long time to wait for your gift to arrive at the other end!
ReplyDeleteLovely gifts. The block holder you made is gorgeous, I love the little touch of Kiwiana.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful gifts both given and received. Love that you waited till you could open your parcels together... bet you could hear each other squeal from half a world away!
